Our Policy: Kentucky Kingdom welcomes families and guests of all ages. It is the intention of this policy to enlist the cooperation of parents and other adults responsible for children to ensure that our park continues to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Responsibility for children attending the park rests with the parent/guardian/assigned chaperone, not with Kentucky Kingdom personnel. Details of the policy are as follows:
Family-friendly costumes are welcome at Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom, with the following guidelines:
The park reserves the right to deny admission to, or remove, any person wearing attire that is inappropriate or that could detract from the experience of other guests.
Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay is a family-friendly environment prioritizing guest and team member safety. As such, all guests must wear appropriate attire when enjoying pools, rides, and attractions.
For their own safety, guests must wear proper clothing (shoes, shirts, and shorts, pants, or cover-ups) for admission to Kentucky Kingdom and at all times while inside the amusement park.
Clothing or body art that is rude, vulgar, or contains inflammatory language or graphics must be covered.
In addition to all posted rider safety requirements, all waterpark guests must follow the dress code below.
Not Permitted:
For your safety, all swim shirts (such as rash guards) and religious headwear must be tight-fitting.
Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay reserves the right to require additional or different attire when and where deemed appropriate and refuse admission or attraction participation to anyone not properly attired. Refusal to comply with the dress code or posted rider safety requirements may result in ejection from the property.
Kentucky Kingdom is excited to offer plan-ahead pricing, giving you the chance to lock in the lowest guaranteed price at the time of booking! Plan-ahead pricing helps you book a visit that works best with both your schedule AND your wallet.
As of January 15, 2024, all Kentucky Kingdom online purchases will be subject to a processing fee.
The park has three (3) Health Services locations: See park map for locations. Our licensed Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are here to service your medical needs. In accordance with medical protocol, our EMTs may not dispense medication. If you need medication, please plan to bring your own or you may purchase from a selection of over-the-counter medications in our gift shops.
Outside food or beverages may not be brought into the park, with limited exceptions (e.g., infant formula, baby food, etc.). Guests may bring empty refillable water bottles into the park. Refillable water stations are located throughout the park. We offer a wide variety of restaurants and snack options throughout the park (click here to view menus). You may also leave the park to eat – simply show your ticket or season pass to re-enter the same day.
Kentucky Kingdom’s season pass provides great value for our guests by providing them unlimited admission to both Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay, discounts on all food and merchandise purchases, and free (with special Gold Passholder Souvenir Cup or Diamond Passholder Tumbler) or discounted fountain drinks all season long. We also sell a 28-ounce Kentucky Kingdom souvenir bottle, which guests can purchase and then fill with fountain drinks for only $1.00 per refill throughout the season (during that season only; the same bottle cannot be used in subsequent seasons). Vending machines stocked with Pepsi products are also conveniently located throughout the park.
ID wristbands are available at Guest Services or any of our three (3) Health Services (first aid) locations. Parents/Guardians may write their cell phone number on the wristband, allowing park staff to contact them if the wearer becomes separated from the group.

To ensure the safety of our guests, some rides and attractions may be closed during inclement weather. We do not offer Sunshine Passes (rain checks) or refunds under these circumstances.
If persistent bad weather conditions close most of our rides for a 90-minute window on the day of your visit, we will offer Sunshine Passes to guests who enter the park with paid admission tickets. Sunshine Passes can be claimed at Guest Services (located at the front entrance) on the day of your visit or any remaining operating day during the season. These Sunshine Passes allow guests to return for a visit on another day during the season at no charge. Season pass and complimentary ticket holders are not eligible to receive rain checks.
The Sunshine Guarantee is activated at the discretion of park management. It is only valid for guests whose paid tickets were scanned on the dates listed below. Ticket screenshots may not be accepted as an eligible ticket to claim a Sunshine Pass; Print or digital tickets are preferred. It does not apply to parking or additional in-park products or experiences.
