Kentucky Kingdom is all about providing unlimited fun for our guests. Unfortunately the weather doesn't always go our way. The Sunshine Guarantee allows us to keep the good times rolling even if persistent inclement weather closes the majority of our rides for a 90-minute window on the day of your visit. While this policy has been in place since 2014, it’s now enhanced to be even more hassle-free! Read on to learn more.
To ensure the safety of our guests, some rides and attractions may be closed during inclement weather. We do not offer Sunshine Passes (rain checks) or refunds under these circumstances.
However, if persistent inclement weather requires us to close the majority of rides for at least a 90-minute window during your visit, we will provide Sunshine Passes to guests who entered the park that day with a paid admission ticket. Claim your Sunshine Pass at Guest Services (located at the front entrance) on the day of your visit or simply show your original scanned admission ticket on any remaining operating day of the current season. Sunshine Passes allow guests to visit Kentucky Kingdom another day during the season at no charge. Season pass and complimentary ticket holders are not eligible to receive Sunshine Passes.
The Sunshine Guarantee is activated at the discretion of park management. It is only valid for paid tickets scanned on the dates listed below. Screenshots may not be accepted as an eligible ticket to claim a Sunshine Pass, so printed or digital tickets are preferred. The Sunshine Guarantee does not apply to parking or in-park products or experiences.
