Kentucky Kingdom is nothing without the people—guests, hosts, and community partners. We are in the memory-making business and feel a deep sense of pride for the meaningful moments cultivated inside our gates. Today we’re focusing on the guest story of mother of six, Leah Marie. She’s been visiting Kentucky Kingdom for almost three decades and is the author of today’s blog.
As a mother to six kids, I’m always looking for new and creative ways to spend time with my family. I have a tween, three teenagers, and kids in their twenties, so I particularly like to seek out options that serve a broad range of ages. Year after year, Kentucky Kingdom proves to entertain my whole family!
Most recently, we visited Kentucky Kingdom for the annual “Kentucky Kingdom Family Fun Day” coordinated by the park with
Wednesday’s Child, a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the recruitment of quality foster and adoptive parents, to provide support for children and families in Kentucky’s child welfare system, and to connect children waiting on a forever family with educated and trained adoptive parents.
We first got involved with Wednesday’s Child in 2011 through their adoptive family outreach program and love to participate in their events and help give back to the at-need communities that they support. We’re repeatedly impressed by community partners like Kentucky Kingdom who support Wednesday’s Child’s honorable mission while serving families like ours.
Kentucky Kingdom has been a big part of our family memories for 26 years and this year’s visit was special. We couldn’t help but to notice how clean, well kept, and updated the park is! Kentucky Kingdom truly exceeded our expectations with all the updates! We are already excited for our next visit!
