Floral Frenzy 5K: Color and Community

Participants flocked from all counties to take advantage of the rare opportunity to run, jog, or walk through Kentucky Kingdom Theme and Water Park while being splashed with a vibrant display of colorful powders. Through this partnership, a morning of fitness transformed into a meaningful stride toward enriching the lives of our community’s youth. For every person who registered for the race, a Kentucky Kingdom ticket was donated to BBBS’s youth mentorship program to encourage enrichment activities.

These tickets serve as much more than just a ticket to Kentucky Kingdom Theme & Water Park. They open the door to fun experiences that many of these children may otherwise not have. The excitement of a roller coaster ride, live show, and splash in a waterpark on a summer day are experiences that enrich young lives and create genuine long-lasting memories.

The Floral Frenzy 5K provided a unique and exciting opportunity for matches to interact with each other. Kentucky Kingdom and BBBS Kentuckiana united on this special Saturday to create a wonderful bonding opportunity for Bigs and Littles, while sharing their valuable mission and creating cherished memories with the rest of the community. As we look forward to the future of Kentucky Kingdom Theme and Water Park and our exciting seasonal festivities, one thing is clear: Our hosts will continue to prioritize community partnerships, valued guests, and creating memories worth repeating for visitors of all ages.

We thank everyone who participated in the inaugural Floral Frenzy 5K; each step taken in the race was a step towards stronger community support for our youth. Let’s keep running towards a future where every child has the opportunities they deserve, where every finish line crossed is a victory for us all.  In the end, the true winners of the Floral Frenzy 5K were the children who got to experience the wonders of Kentucky Kingdom.
